Ipsy: My Subscription Addiction. Is It Worth It?
Hello loves,
Our topic for today will be something that some of you may consider worth it and others will say it's just a waste of money. We're talking about a personalized monthly makeup and beauty sample subscription named Ipsy.
What's Ipsy?
A Glam Bag program (monthly subscription) that sends each month 5 deluxe sample or full-sized beauty goodies (including makeup, skincare, hair care, and nail care), packed in a stylish makeup bag for $10 a month, or $110 for an annual subscription*. Shipping is free in the U.S. and USD $4.95 for bags shipped to Canada.
Ipsy caught my attention and I definitely had to sign up for it. Taking the quiz was an easy way to choose between what I like vs what I don't like when it comes to beauty products, making it easier for the Ipsy team to send me my preferences, and of course leaving an open space to try new things out. It's only been two months with the subscription so yes I guess you can say I'm pretty new, but I'm loving it. Let me show you why you'll love it too.
The August Glam Bag: Good Vibes Only
Brand Features: Aurora, theBalm, Seraphine Botanicals, Leaders Cosmetics USA, Sundays Nail Polish No 07
What's In My Bag?
My very first glam bag. And little did I know I'll fall for the pro color corrector in Pistachio. I know just the thought of having green in my face it just sounds crazy but this color corrector camouflages redness. Also got the eyeshadow in Kuwakaribisha, which I love because it makes my highlight to look extra extra. The liquid coal WATERPROOF liquid liner, 2 sheet mask duo - What Happened Last Night? & Pore Gone For Good, and last but not least the nail polish No. 7. Sounds like a good start for me don't you think?
The September Glam Bag: Like A Boss
Brand Features: Eva NYC, Smashbox, Dear Klairs, ColourPop, P.R.M.I.T (Capricorn)
What's In My Bag?
The zero gravity volume powder, the photo finish radiance primer that I cannot wait to try out. Also the supple preparation facial toner, the brow boss in light brown (it's called BOSS, you all already know what that means), and the GELlusion nail polish in Capricorn color.
And now the final question for you guys:
Is Ipsy Really Worth It?
Keep in mind that with any subscription you take the risk of being disappointed, but 1.5 million subscribers cannot be wrong, right? So in my personal opinion it is worth it.
